The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks an Internal/Family Medicine Physician to provide holistic, primary health care to individuals and families. This position is located at 2100 Broadway, Denver, and reports to the Associate Medical Director. Primary Responsibilities
1. Challenging, rewarding position delivering care to homeless patients, in a nationally recognized Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program.
2. Intellectually challenging and stimulating environment.
3. Work with multidisciplinary team of medical, mental health, substance treatment and additional staff.
4. 4 day per week position with limited call duties, some evening hours may be required.
5. Position available starting August, 2009.
Qualifications Summary
1. Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited school of medicine required.
2. Completion of an accredited residency program in the physician’s specialty required.
3. Current physician licensure in the State of Colorado required.
4. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licensure required.
5. Proven clinical competence in the provision of health care in a primary care setting required.
6. Board Certified or Board Eligible status in the physician’s specialty is preferred.
